A fun program for the whole family will be offered at Garðatorg on June 17th. Here's what the program looks like.

Parade from HofsstaðarskóliThe Garðabær Music School Wind Band and the Vífill Scout Association lead a procession from the meadow at Hofsstaðaskóli to Garðatorg .

13.30-15:45

A brass band plays and a mountain woman reads poetry. The mayor and the president of the town council address the festival guests.

  • A program for the youngest guests presented by Gunni and Felix.
  • Húbba Búbba, Skoppa and Skrítla, Sólon and Dimma tassels
  • The Fuglabjarg and Siggi Ózk Theatre Company.

13.30-16.00

Bouncy castles and candy floss. The Garðatorg parking lot is a fun area! The Vífill Scout Association is in charge of bouncy castles, popcorn, and candy floss.

Cafe buffet of the Garðabær Women's Association in Sveinatunga. Meringue pie, hot dishes, striped lines and pans in the style of sorority women.

14.00-16.00

Craft workshop and face painting at Garðatorg 7. Craft workshop at the library. Face painting on the ramp, coloring books, colors and joy.

13.30-16.00

Kids karaoke at the library. Let's sing our favorite songs in the Library Suite.

Swimming in Álftanes. Bustle or relax in Álftaneslaug.

12.00-17.00

  • Icelandic Design Museum. Welcome to the museum to view exhibitions and enjoy the thumping in the Forge.
  • The Hofsstaðir Historical Park and Back to Hofsstaðir. Gaze into the past at the Kirkjulund Historical Park and at the multimedia exhibition at Garðatorg 7.

20.00-21.00 at the Garðabær Music School

The L'amour fou concert band in the hall of the Garðabær Music School. Old Icelandic popular songs and a good atmosphere at a free concert featuring:
Hrafnhildur Atladóttir violinist, Guðrún Hrund Harðardóttir violaist, Hrafnkell Orri Egilsson cellist, Gunnlaugur Torfi Stefánsson double bassist and Tinna Þorsteinsdóttir pianist.
