Want to have a street barbecue?
On the occasion of Garðabær celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, residents are invited to apply for an allocation from a special neighborhood and street pool to hold a street party this summer with their neighbors.
The idea behind the project is for groups from specific neighborhoods or streets to get together and hold a street barbecue this summer. The goal of the project is to create more opportunities for residents to socialize in their local area.
With an application from the neighborhood and street pool, you can apply for a grant to purchase refreshments and other things that are useful in holding fun and family-friendly events.
We encourage residents to join forces with their neighbors and organize a street party this summer.
The deadline to apply for a grant from the neighborhood and street pool is June 18. All applications will be reviewed and responded to by June 25.
