Garðabær has a much richer architectural heritage than one might think at first glance. In this talk, architect Pétur Ármannsson discussed selected houses in Gardabaer from different periods, many of which were significant in the development of architecture in this country.
In the lecture, he reviewed the history and uniqueness of the buildings and examined them in the context of international trends in architecture, the history of Garðabær, and the development of settlements in the capital area.
The lecture was part of Garðabær's 50th anniversary celebration.
