Garðabær's new website is now live

A new website for the town of Garðabær has been launched. The website went live on March 24th and will play a key role in providing information and services to residents. The new website opens on the occasion of the town's 50th anniversary.
When designing and setting up the new website, emphasis was placed on making it modern, accessible and user-friendly. This is reflected in, among other things, legible fonts, simple and clear icons and shapes that were specially designed for the new Garðabær website.
Accessible and clear
One of the main goals of the website renovation was to make it easier for residents to access information and services from the municipality and for users to find content quickly and easily.
"We believe that the website will improve service to residents and strengthen the town's information provision," says Ágúst Þór Guðmundsson, Director of Service and Development at Garðabær. "The website is also exceptionally beautiful and draws inspiration from the surroundings of Garðabær."
Nature inspires
The nature and environment of Garðabær were the inspiration for the design of the website. The color palette reflects the nature, vegetation and balanced tone of the town, and the shapes that characterize the website are inspired by the town's landscape.
The website will continue to be developed over the next few days. We apologize if any information is not yet available during this process. If you have a suggestion, idea or comment about the new Garðabær website, please send it to nyrvefur@gardabaer.is.
