Five-year-old children in kindergartens and preschool departments in Garðabær will sing songs by Dr. Gunnar at a concert taking place at Garðatorg 7, Tuesday, May 12th at 3:00 PM.

The Söngvavor project will now be on the agenda for the first time in Garðabær. Five-year-old children in kindergartens and preschool departments in Garðabær will sing songs by Dr. Gunnar at a concert taking place at Garðatorg 7, Tuesday, May 12th at 3:00 PM.

The children will be accompanied by a band made up of students from the Garðabær Music School, conducted by Hönnuh O'Connor. A choir of children from the 2nd grade of Sjálandsskóli will also sing in support. The choir director is Ólafur Schram. The project manager is Linda Margrét Sigfúsdóttir, assistant principal of the Garðabær Music School.

The kindergartens and preschool departments of Kirkjuból, Hæðarból, Holtakot, Sjálandsskóli, Lundaból, Krakkakot, Akra, Sjálands, Bæjarból, Urriðaholtsskóli and Barnaskólinn í Garðabær have been rehearsing with the children since January. Earlier in May, a rehearsal was held at the Garðabær Music School, where it became clear what a great job the teachers at the schools have done with the children. In total, there are nearly 400 children who will perform at the concerts.

The Söngvavor project, which has been operating for years in Reykjavík, is now on the agenda for the first time in Garðabær.

Everyone is welcome to Söngvavor at Garðatorg on Tuesday, May 12th at 3:00 PM.
