Cultural scholarships
The goal of cultural grants is to support individuals and organizations in artistic and cultural creation and to further enhance the artistic life of Garðabær.
The Garðabær Culture and Museum Committee oversees cultural grants.
Applications for cultural grants are accepted year-round, but the committee advertises and processes applications twice a year. The application deadline for the first allocation is January 15th and October 1st for the second allocation. Applications must be submitted through the Garðabær Service Portal.
Artists, non-profit organizations, institutions or cultural events must be connected to Garðabær in some way. Individuals with legal residence in the town can apply for a cultural grant and the project must be connected to Garðabær in one way or another.

Incentive fund for young designers and artists
Young artists in Garðabær aged 15-25 can apply for a grant from the Encouragement Fund.
