The foundation of Gardabær

Grundstoð is a collaborative platform for parents' associations in the town's primary schools. The goal is to strengthen the voice of parents as an interest group and unite their efforts for good work in school matters.

Who sits on the Basic Support Committee?

The Garðabær Primary Support Committee is made up of representatives from parent associations from all the town's primary schools. The Primary Support Committee meets on average 5 times per school year and discusses common issues between the schools. The collaboration makes it easier for parent representatives to assist and advise the town authorities on school and family matters. The Primary Support Committee collaborates with Home and School – National Parents' Association.
