Arnarland – Road construction and utilities

Arnarland is a new development area in Garðabær and is bordered by Hafnarfjarðarvegur to the west, Arnarnesvegur to the south, Fífuhvammsvegur to the east, and the municipal boundaries of Garðabær and Kópavogur to the north.

The main sizes and quantities for the neighborhood are as follows:

• Street length 1,270 m
• Length of steps 180 m
• Survey of streets and paths 40,400 m3
• Disposal of boulders in street and path parking 11,300 m3
• Rock discharge at the cutting site 5,800 m3
• Reinforcement layer 7,500 m3
• Fills 5,200 m3
• Asphalt 11,200 m2
• Sewerage pipes 2,185 m
• Drinking water pipes 1,520 m
• Utility trenches 4,310 m

Completion is April 1, 2027.
