Election meeting for the elections to the Gardabær municipal council

At the Mýrinn Sports Center, elections will be held in the following constituencies.

I. Constituency Aftanhæð – Brekkuás
II. Electoral district Brekkubyggð - Eskiás
III. Electoral Division Eskiholt - Hähää
IV. Hegranes - Hraunás electoral district
V. Electoral Division Hraungata - Kinnargata
VI. Electoral district Kirkjulundur - Lerkiás
VII. Electoral ward Lindarflät – Mariugata 1-24
VIII. Electoral district Maríugata 25-40 - Sjávargrund
IX. Electoral Division Sjónarvegur - Teistunes
X. Electoral district Tjaldanes - Ögurás

At Álftanesskóli, elections will be held in the following electoral divisions.

I. Electoral division Asparholt – Lambhagi
II. Litlabæjarvör – Þóroddarkot electoral district

Icelandic students who reside in the Nordic countries and have applied to be included on the electoral register are on the electoral register in the I. electoral ward at the Mýrinn sports center.

The election meeting will begin at 09:00 and last until 22:00.

To be able to vote, a voter must demonstrate that they are who they say they are, such as by presenting an ID with their name, ID number and photo, such as a driver's license, passport or identity card.

Digital driver's licenses are valid identification for elections. Voters must have obtained them in the Ísland.is app, where they are now accessible.

The Central Election Commission will be based in the Mýrinn Sports Center during the election campaign, and the Álftaness District Election Commission will be based in the Álftaness School building.

The counting of votes will take place in Urðarbrunn, the festival hall of Fjölbrautskólin in Garðabær. It is expected that the sorting of votes will begin behind closed doors at around 18:00 and the counting of votes will begin at 22:00 when the election meeting ends.
