The park card – access card to swimming pools

Guests of swimming pools in Garðabær can pay for themselves with the Garðakortin. The card can be carried on a phone or as a plastic top-up card.

Digital map on your phone

You buy a digital card on your phone at gardakort.isWhen a card has expired or is fully used up, you can purchase a new digital card online.

As soon as you have paid for the card, you can add it to your phone's wallet.

  • iPhone: The card goes into Wallet.
  • Android: The card goes into Google Wallet.

You will find a payment receipt in Gardabaer service portal under Fees.

Lost card

If you have removed the card from your phone wallet or changed phones, you can find the link to the card in an email from noreply@smartsolutions.is which was sent with the purchase.

You can also send an email to gardabaer@gardabaer.is with your information.

Plastic card

You can buy plastic cards at the swimming pool reception and top them up there. When you buy a plastic card for the first time, or need a new card because it was lost or unused, you will need to pay an initial fee.

It is not possible to transfer credit from plastic cards to digital cards.

Free admission

Children (under 18 years old), seniors (67 years old and older) and the disabled get free swimming in Garðabær with the Garðakortin.

  • Children and the elderly can download a digital annual pass to their phone by logging in with their electronic ID at gardakort.is.
  • Disabled Get a digital annual pass by sending an email to gardabaer@gardabaer.is.
  • Plastic card: You can also get a plastic card by showing your ID at the pool reception (an initial fee must be paid).

  • Children 0–17 years old, 67 years old and older, and the disabled receive free admission (with a Park Card/plastic card or digital card where applicable).
  • Everyone who gets "free" admission needs Garðakort .
