A master plan is a municipal planning plan that sets out the town's policy on land use, transportation and service systems, environmental issues, and urban development over a period of at least 12 years.
Gardabaer Master Plan 2016-2030
The new master plan for Garðabær was signed in early May 2018 and is valid until 2030.
The master plan is the first in force for the municipality after Garðabær and Álftanes merged at the turn of the year 2012 and 2013.
