A climbing wall has been installed in Miðgarður , the new multi-purpose sports hall in Garðabær. The climbing wall was designed and built by the Bulgarian company Walltopia.

Applications are being invited for grants to the Incentive Fund for Young Designers and Artists in Garðabær.

The meeting of the Gardabaer town council on Thursday, March 3rd, was significant because it was the 900th meeting of the town council since its inception. The first meeting of the Gardabaer town council was held on January 6th, 1976, and at the beginning of that year Garðabær received market town rights.

The Garðabær Cultural and Museum Committee was responsible for making videos when it was not possible to host events due to the restrictions on gatherings. The latest videos are based on a script by ethnographer Dagrún Óskar Jónsdóttir. The three videos deal with hidden people, land elves and stories about them, and children's games.

Garðabær Town Council has advertised a proposal for changes to the local plan of Arnarness in accordance with the 1st paragraph. 31st article. of the Planning Act no. 123/2010, cf. the 1st paragraph. 41st article. and the 1st paragraph of the 43rd article of the same act. A presentation meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 1st at 17:00.
