Here you can find the town's logo in several versions.
The logo of Garðabær reflects the nature of our town, highlighting Búrfell, the lava, and the waves of the ocean. The green color in the logo represents the moss that adorns the lava fields around the town.
Erna Ragnarsdóttir designed the logo in 1976 when Garðabær received market town rights. The Búrfell mountain, the lava and the waves of the sea provided her inspiration. In 2002, the logo was redesigned by Guðrún Anna's Advertising Agency to comply with the rules for coats of arms. The Patent Office then officially registered the logo on February 11, 2003.
The Garðabær logo was given a new look to mark the town's 50th anniversary. The new logo was designed by Sítrus Design Studio.
