The goal is for older people in Garðabær to be able to live independently for as long as possible. félagsstarf , exercise and a variety of services are offered.
Support services
The support service includes assistance with housekeeping and personal care, as well as receiving home-delivered meals for lunch. Our goal is to support people and enhance their ability to live in their own homes.
Social rental apartments for people aged 60 and over
Garðabær offers housing for people aged 60 and over. The goal is to ensure safe housing that suits everyone's needs.
At Kirkjulund 6 and 8 there are four social rental apartments owned by Garðabær that are rented to older people in the town.
