There was a record turnout at the Barnaheilla youth congress in Garðabær and Hafnarfjörður. Participants were from the top grades of Garðaskóli in Garðabær, and Lækjarskóli, Setbergsskóli, Víðistaðaskóli, Öldutúnsskóli and Áslandsskóli in Hafnarfjörður, along with students from Fjölbrautskóli in Garðabær and Flensborg.

Here you can watch an interesting lecture by Pétur Ármannsson that he gave at the Icelandic Design Museum on February 15th. In the lecture, he discussed selected houses in Garðabær from different periods, many of which were significant in the development of architecture in this country.

"The work is diverse, educational and very rewarding," says the head of environmental groups. Advertisements are being made for employees to work in environmental groups in Garðabær.

Enrollment of students in 1st grade (born 2020) and 8th grade (born 2013) will take place from March 2nd to 10th. Administrators and prospective students will have the opportunity to visit the elementary schools in Garðabær from March 2nd to 10th.

The Department of Education and Culture is advertising for applications for allocation from the Garðabær Preschool Development Fund.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Garðabær, the town's swimming pools are offering a special birthday program.

This is a very pleasing result, given that the number of preschool children has increased much more in Garðabær than in most other places."

In the coming months, new and diverse facilities on the second floor of Miðgarður will be put into use. The Gardabær Town Council recently visited Miðgarður and reviewed the status of the construction.
